The quality of a person to be friendly and pleasant towards anyone is understood as friendliness. In other words, you may also define friendliness as a skill that enables one to be approachable and treat everyone like a friend the natural warmth and respect.

Incorporating friendliness in one’s behaviour is quite crucial in making a personality more lovable, trustworthy and approachable. Most of the time, people make positive conjectures about those who have friendly nature/appearance /tone.

Talking about such influence of friendliness in social/public life, Natalie Maria Cole, an American singer, songwriter, and actress once said-

“I think people hear the warmth in my voice and the friendliness, and they think: ‘Oh, she must be a very nice person’.”

Friendliness is one of the qualities that humans can show to others.

Being friendly means being kind, caring and supportive towards others!

Also, when a person is friendly s/he is very positive and likeable.

Friendliness is a positive impact that we leave on others. If you support and be someone’s helping hand, it can be said that you have been a good friend.

Everyone needs a friend, be it for chilling, laughing, sharing secrets or crying on each other’s shoulders. Friendship is a necessity these days because every individual goes through hard times, and they need someone who can understand them.

One has to selflessly care about others and make them feel worthy of their existence.

Real friends are blessings, nowadays, since the world is ruthless and unusual.

Friends are not always the one who has been with you since childhood; friends are the one who didn’t let you in hard times. Those hard times are the times when people can judge who can help them and who may make the fun of the situations.

Not everyone who laughs with you is your friend, but someone who won’t let you cry.

Not only being warm and supportive of each other is friendship but also respecting each other. Respect and gratitude are two things that make people feel good. Respect should be given to everyone irrespective of their age, gender or colour.

Everyone deserves to be respected and loved, try to that sunshine of love and respect in life if others.

Friendliness is not just quality but a skill that creates a good impact on a person. Let’s assume there are two people around you and both strangers to you.

You suddenly fainted, and one ignores, and the other one takes you to the hospital.

Friendliness isn’t restricted to a particular person. One can even grow a bond of friendship with a stranger whom they met two days ago.

Situations make you aware of your friends, and they let you know the truth of friendship.

For instance, let’s consider your workplace. On the initial day of work, you didn’t know anyone but slowly and gradually you found someone friendly. It can happen to anyone because friendliness is a gesture that we can get from anyone around us.

Also, you can say that friendship has a benefit for your mental health.

When you have someone who will listen to your problems and won’t judge you, you have it sorted.

It’s because everyone needs a friend to share things, often people when they don’t have friends, they start writing. Writing is more like therapy to people who can’t share their feelings with others.

Even at your workplace, when you are a friendly person, everyone will respect you and give you attention. Also during appraisals, it might be possible that you’ll receive 5-star ratings for your friendliness.

Also, customers love friendly sellers or employees who can generously explain everything. And friendliness will make them like you more, thereby increasing sales marketing.

1. Be patient and control the temperament 

Controlling your anger and frustration is essential, and the initial step towards friendliness. Any friendly person won’t be aggressive or make offensive statements. So, it is crucial to be patient and try to control yourself in adverse situations.

2. Learn to help others and support them 

Helping and supporting is the pillar that is required anyhow. If you don’t initiate and help someone, you can’t be friends with someone. If you’re an introvert and don’t like starting any conversation, it might be possible that you won’t make good friends. Therefore, try to speak up and help others instead of sitting idle.

3. Stop being snobbish 

Ignoring people can be the worst behaviour of a person. Don’t just blatantly ignore anyone. Sometimes it’s tough to let the discussion go on, but you don’t have to leave instantly. Take your time and don’t make someone feel wrong about them.

4. Keep smiling 

Smiling is the sweetest gesture. Everyone who smiles a lot has chances of being a good friend rapidly. It shows how chilled out you are and how you handle situations. No matter what, try to keep a smile on your face.

5. Manage your stress level 

Management of stress is crucial when it comes to friendliness. You can improve your friendly behaviour to be managing your stress. Sometimes when people are frustrated, they get impatient. It doesn’t be that; try to manage anxiety and stress.

Lastly, we can say that there are numerous benefits of friendliness and several ways to improve it.

If you want people to love and respect you, be humble, show gratitude, smile towards them. These steps are going to help you become friendlier.
