A business card is an identity of a person representing the business and the position. It is a printed card which has information about the person the company along with the contact details and the logo of the organization. There are different types of business cards depending on the businesses. Every card is customized or tailored for a specific person or profession.

Also, every person in the organization has a similar business card and all the information on the card is the same except the name and a contact number.

1) Company/ Business logo: This comprises of a symbol text image or name of the company which forms an official logo.

2) Tagline: Some companies may have a tagline which is a short sentence describing the services of the company in a creative way.

3) Contact details: The contact details include the name of the person holding the business card his mobile number, landline number, email ID, and the website of the company. Some people prefer to have two business cards in which the only difference is instead of business mobile number one card will have a personal mobile number. Rest of the details will be the same on both of the cards.

Why the organizational business card may have an only website and other details as mentioned above, a business professional will have visiting hours are opening and closing as mentioned on the business card.

4) Products/ Services: Some business card may also have mentioned a brief about their products or services listing their famous products or the top services.

1) The trade business cards :

People from trade usually carry their own cards. If you are into the making of plastic business cards there usually provided to your competitors, financiers suppliers or providers. These types of business cards are an epitome of a particular trade and represent their owners in a very sharp and dapper way. The design should represent the occupation of the person.

It is convenient to have your business card printed on plastic if you are into plastic business but then the obvious question would be why not print the cards on bread If you are a Baker? That is a reason why image holds the significance in trade business cards. A good image representing the business as what the card should aim for.

2) The classic business card :

A standard format is used when you don’t have any creative idea for the business card. The information that is contained on the card is preliminary like the name of the company along with small logo the address of the organization the mail ID of the person holding the visiting card and the contact number of the organization as well as the person.

Classic business cards look very professional and usually are printed on the white background with a standard font which is bold.

3) The wild format business card :

Some organizations like to play with different formats of the cards. While some go with innovative huge hold format which turns the card into a sort of tiny brochure, others prefer to go small. In any way, these formats are catchy and get immediately get noticed when they are given to anyone.

The only thing needs to be thought of while preparing these kinds of business cards are that if they are convenient to store by the people who you share them with.

4) The social business card :

A social networkers business card tends to reflect his communicating habits. Traditional ways of contacting are usually not mentioned on the business card. URLs of Twitter account Facebook account and other social media websites are printed on the card in an innovative way.

These days a popular trend of printing QR codes on the business card has been followed by many social media networking professionals. Sometimes people tend to have a minimalist business card which looks clean and smooth while providing all the needed information in it.

5) Sided business cards :

These types of business cards are usually printed on either or both sides. For example, how business can be printed on one side and the other side may be kept entirely clean or the other side of the business card may be printed with the logo of the company. In some cases, both the sides of the business card may be printed with a lot of information about your organization the person or the services provided.

Thus, these types of business cards may be one-sided or two-sided printed. Two-sided business cards help you to the stars and appointment reminders along with the logo and tagline of your business if any, on the other hand, one-sided business cards are considered as standard having a back that is blank and helps the recipient to jot down the notes of the conversation.

6) Orientated Business Cards :

Some business cards may be horizontal or vertical and the orientation of the card may be decided by the organization. The vertical business cards have an excellent way to stand out and make another bold statement there also perfect for writers, musicians or anyone with creativity. However, these business cards come with the challenge of fitting all the information on the narrow width of the business card.

Vertical business cards are considered as standing out cards. On the other hand, horizontal business cards are considered conventional and reflect stability along with trust and confidence. These are also essentially made for the fields of Finance, Real Estate, and Sales.

7) Personal Business cards :

Some of the see you have two different business cards for various purposes. Personal business cards have a personal contact number and are given to a specific set of customers or audiences. A business card will not have the personal contact detail of the individual but will have a standard contact number where everybody can reach while the personal business card may have printed even the personal mail ID along with business contact details of the person.

These types of business cards are usually given to a person who is other equal in the position or professionally superior to that person.

8) Profession-specific business card :

Some innovative companies have profession specific cards like a piano company will have a piano-key card which represents their profession as well as looks catchy or a tailor will have a business card printed on a shape of a tailoring machine, or a photographer will have it printed on a camera shaped business card. Although these cards are termed as profession-specific cards, they do not look official and does not give a feel of the formal or professional business card.
