Swiggy has now incorporated Dineout’s offerings into its platform, making them available to all its users.
The advertisement ‘Go Out with Swiggy Dineout’ showcases newlyweds Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar bickering in a comic scene set in a car. Dandekar wants to dine out while Akhtar is determined to use Swiggy. Only after a brief argument did the driver intervene and suggest the platform’s new offering, Swiggy Dineout, which allows users to book restaurants online. This integration was only launched a few days ago, even though Swiggy acquired Dineout in May 2022.
In the last two years, Swiggy has grown its quick commerce grocery delivery service, Instamart, to encompass 24 cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Goa (North and South), Kochi, Surat, Agra, Udaipur and Vadodara. Currently, the platform has a network of 190,000 restaurant partners and stores across 520 cities.
Meanwhile, Swiggy’s competitor Zomato has also made a move in the food sector and launched a specialised offering known as ‘Zomato Everyday’.
Swiggy users will get upto 40% discounts no their dining bills. If they have HDFC bank credit cards, they can get an additional 15% off at renowned restaurant chains like Marriott, Leela, Mainland China, Farzi Café, Punjab grill and many others.
Swiggy released a statement saying “Users can get exclusive benefits and save an average of Rs. 600 on every transaction at the restaurant. With the integration of Dineout, Swiggy became the only platform to offer exclusive discounts and savings on dining out, food delivery, groceries, sending packages and more to its users,”
Swiggy One members can now enjoy their membership benefits across Dineout, food delivery, Instamart, Genie and more. They will get additional discounts, access to exclusive premium restaurants on Dineout, and other perks like unlimited free deliveries and exclusive member only discounts up to 30% off on food & grocery deliveries.
