Nike and Cognizant have announced an expanded partnership that will see the latter managing Nike’s global technology operations across its entire enterprise.
Cognizant, a technology company listed on NASDAQ: CTSH, has recently announced a new agreement with Nike.
The agreement involves transforming and providing support for Nike’s technology operations. Nike is a renowned leading brand globally, producing and distributing authentic athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories, and listed on NYSE: NKE.
Nike and Cognizant have signed a new agreement to enhance their collaboration. Under this agreement, Nike will consolidate its existing IT support functions, and Cognizant will provide IT support services to Nike in over 40 countries across 230+ locations. This agreement builds on their 14-year history of working together.
Cognizant will provide technology support to the company’s customers, partners, and 70,000 employees. This support will include Multilingual IT Customer Service, Deskside and Dispatch Depot, and Application and Infrastructure Support.
The Head of Cognizant’s Retail Industry Business Unit, Sushant Warikoo, made the statement –
“We are excited to help drive exceptional customer, employee, and partner experiences at Nike by leveraging hyper-automation, AI, and process re-engineering.”
He further added-
“By bridging our retail industry and technology expertise together with our 14-year knowledge of Nike’s business, we can equip them with the advanced IT capabilities required to support their global growth and ensure seamless technology experiences for all.”
Under the new five-year agreement, Cognizant will provide technical support to both Nike’s customers and employees. Cognizant will offer onsite and remote support worldwide to help employees resolve any hardware issues they encounter, ranging from laptops to work phones.
Cognizant will offer Level 1 & 2 support and backend engineering solutions for all of Nike’s enterprise-wide applications, which include computer software, mobile apps, and Nike.com.
Nike has tasked Cognizant with developing new self-service capabilities, enhancing service productivity, and achieving notable cost savings over the next five years.
Nike’s partnership with Cognizant is expected to contribute to the company’s digital transformation efforts, which are focused on enhancing product innovation, brand differentiation, and customer engagement worldwide through significant investments in technology and expertise.
