Jio forays into VR with JioDive

Jio, a telecommunications company, has recently introduced JioDive, a virtual reality headset available on JioMart, their online store. This product is designed to compete against similar offerings from companies like Meta, Google, and Samsung.

JioDive provides a 360-degree view of stadiums, offering users a simulated experience that makes them feel like they are physically present at a game. The headset is priced at Rs 1,299.

To use the JioDive headset, viewers must follow two steps:

  • Pair it with their Android or iOS phone
  • Download the JioImmerse app from the appropriate app store.

The headset is compatible with phones that have a minimum display size of 4.7 inches and a maximum screen size of 6.7 inches. Additionally, users must be either True 5G or JioFiber users to access the app.

The device is equipped with a strap that can be adjusted in three ways to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, it features adjustable lenses with both center and side wheels to provide a sharper image and optimal comfort.

To begin using the headset, follow these steps: scan the QR code on the box, install the JioImmerse app, give all suggested permissions, and log in. Make sure you are connected to a Jio network. Then, select the JioDive option and click on ‘Watch on JioDive’.

To use the JioDive headset, follow these steps: First, place your phone between the phone support clip and the lenses inside the front cover. Then, close the front cover. Next, put on the headset and adjust the straps until it fits comfortably on your head. Finally, use the center and side wheels to adjust the picture quality for the best viewing experience. 

Jio has introduced a few attractive deals for the JioDive VR headset. One of these deals presents a cashback of Rs 500 for Paytm Wallet users. The headset is available in black color only and provides a captivating experience by using the gyroscope and accelerometer of the paired device.

With the JioDive headset, users will be able to experience the same level of thrill and excitement as watching an IPL match live in a stadium. The device’s immersive viewing environment helps create the feeling of being there for real.

Jio is looking to tap into the emerging VR market in India with the launch of JioDive and make IPL viewing a memorable experience for customers. It is expected that more such VR products from Jio will be launched soon, making it easier for people to enjoy their favorite sports or entertainment events remotely.
