    Yes. Advertising plays a very important role in Brand making. But it is not the only thing which contributes to a brand.
    An example – Advertisement may bring the customer to your doorstep, but what if your sales force is incapable of handling the customer. Or you are unable to provide timely service. It affects your brand name itself.
    Thus Advertisement is one of the several vital marketing vehicles to make a good brand name.

      I don’t think that it’s possible without advertising. Just look at what the old spice commercial did to that brand name.
