Hii Anjeeta. Well, the aggressiveness that you use should be proportional to your probing.
As you know, a sales pitch generally starts with probing. You try to learn more about your customer. During probing itself you will get a feel of how a potential client is.
Some clients need to be convinced only on the basis of Statistics as well as with normal talks. They are good decision makers and only with ur basic follow up and the quality of your product, they will be convinced and can be made customers. In fact, if you use aggressiveness with such customers, they are more likely to ignore u.
But some other clients are there with whom you need to be aggressive. They will not close unless and until you vigorously follow up. Or if your competitor is much more stronger than you. There are various sales closure methods you can follow with such clients. Directly talking of the order instead of beating around the bush, filling up the order form and asking an action from the client, directly landing up in customer place, continous calling to find out where the order has reached, so on and so forth. Understand your customer, and then implement the kind of aggressiveness which you feel would be needed to close this customer.
